Hi, The above thought is smart and doesn’t require any further addition. It’s perfect thought from my side.

I had acid reflux for 17 years and finally found out that had a hiatal hernia...I just always accepted the fact that I would not be able to sleep flat all night without a zantaz (or two or three)...I finally was scoped and told I had a hiatal hernia...Doc put me on prevacid and it worked for a while, but then my system became immune... Long story short I went to Walgreen's to fullfill my subscription and the pharmacist told me about this water trick exercise to do to shift you hiatal hernia trapping all the acid back underneath your diaphragm... I did it and after 17 years I am no acid reflux and hiatal hernia free... I continue to do this exercise about 1 time every 2 weeks and I am good... Never have to spnd money on antacids or anything!

though it is not exercise, I do feel pain in my chest after I stretched from lying position to sitting position. I knew that maybe my problem on my esophagus brought by Acid Reflux was the result of it. I limit my self to strethcing that involves my chest because I believe esophagus are very sensitive to pressure when it is already affected by acid reflux.

Well elderpanther I would first of all get a response from your physician. Any form of chest pain is nothing to mess around with. My advise will only be getting in contact with your doctor ASAP. Acid Reflux can occur quite frequently with exercise, especially if you have a problem with it (you are here with the rest of us so I assume that you do). It could be a symptom of excessive contraction of the stomach muscles. This exact symptom was one of the first indicators, for me, that I had a real problem. I could not go to the gym or run a mile without at least a few hours of extreme discomfort. There are many diet plans and alternative and some herbal treatments that can help steer you in the right health direction (i.e. lifestyle changes) but please call your PCP.......looking for your posts again elderpanther

After I do mild exercise and stretching I get chest pain, burping and a feeling of fullness in my throat. It feels to me like heartburn but I have never heard of exercise triggering heartburn. Has anyone experienced this sensation after exercise?
